Well, tomorrow technically will be one week since I had the LapBand surgery. I'm healing nicely and ready to begin this new chapter in my life!
I have tried for years to lose weight, every diet method known to man! "Eating right and working out" didn't work for me either. I'd lose, then gain, then lose, then gain again. It was a roller coaster that I couldn't escape. The LapBand seemed my best option if I wanted to have a healthy life.
So, since Monday I am down 4 pounds! I know, 4 pounds. Big whoop. But 4 pounds in 6 days is pretty good! And and long as the scale isn't going in the other direction, I'll be happy!
My goal is to lose 50 pounds by Christmas. That's a huge undertaking, but I'm going to be eating right (and a lot less!) and working out every day. My apartment has a gym and I plan on taking full advantage of it starting tomorrow! (Though I'll be doing only the treadmill and bike until I'm fully healed. Don't want to push it too hard too soon.)
